    St. Martin de Porres

The Lord is my Shepard;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me into the path of righteousness
for His name sake.
Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil,
for thou art with me.
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Our Father, who art in heaven;
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace
the Lord is with you;
blessed are you amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners;
now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

God looked around His garden
and He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this Earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest;
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
get well on Earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb;
so He closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered, “Peace be Thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you
but you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
that day God called you home.

I thank you for the love
that each of you has shown;
but now it’s time for me
to travel on alone.
So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,
then let you grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only awhile that we must part,
so bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, I’ll be ever quite near,
just call me softly and I will hear.

He carried me through stormy times
that I thought would never end
when I was at my weakest point,
His might power He did send.
He proves himself to be my strength,
every minute of every day.
When my path’s so dark I cannot see
my Lord shows me the way.
Every day He teaches me
new things for me to know
so that in Christ, the risen Lord;
the stronger I may grow.
At times when I’m not able
simply just to stand
He guides me ever so gently,
by His most gracious hand.
He’s carried me through many storms
and I know He’ll never fail;
He’ll lift me up and give me hope
when my darkest doubts assail!

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free;
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to laugh, to love, to work, to play,
tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me;
God wanted me now He set me free.

God needs someone in heaven
to plow and plant the row,
and when He calls on me,
I know that I must go.
Remember that I won’t be gone
I will just be away
working on God’s farm
‘till we’re reunited one day.
There will be no storms in heaven
and the fields are long and straight
when it’s time for you to join me
I’ll be waiting at heaven’s gate.
Remember until that day arrives,
when once more our lives we’ll share
to look in the green fields growing
and you’ll see me working there.

Fill not your hearts with pain in sorrow
but remember me in every tomorrow.
May going has eased my pain and given relief,
so dry your eyes and forget your grief.
Remember the joy, our laughter, my smile
and that our being apart is just for a while.
Remember me also as I used to be
in your hearts so precious to me
that I’ve gone on ahead to dwell up above;
and until we’re together, you’ll have all of my love.

Gone is a mother loved by all,
her soul is now at rest.
She will sleep in peace; her work is done
a mother’s work – the best.
She’ll know the joy of perfect rest
in heaven up above;
where she may dwell contentedly
protected by God’s love.
Our hearts may grieve that she must lie
beneath the sacred sod;
and yet we know she lives in peace
within the house of God.

When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me;
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long
and not with head bowed low;
remember the love that we once shared
miss me but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
and each must go alone;
it’s all part of the Master’s plan
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
go to the friends we know;
and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds,
miss me but let me go.

Yo estoy en Casa en el Cielo, queridos;
Oh, tan feliz y tan brillante!
Cada inquietud ha pasado;
Así que no debes estar desocupado;
Hazlo ahora, mientras la vida existe,
Tú descansaras en la tierra de Dios.
Cuando ese trabajo sea terminado,
El te llamara suavemente a Casa.
Oh, el éxtasis de ese encuentro,
Oh, la alegría de verte aquí!

Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos
Santificado sea tu Nombre
Venga tu reino
Hágase tu voluntad
En la tierra como en el cielo
Danos hoy el pan de este día
y perdona nuestras deudas

Junto a Ti, Junto a Ti.

No te pares a llorar ante mi tumba.
No estoy aqui, no duermo.
Soy, miles de vientos que soplan.
Soy el diamante que brilla
sobre la nieve.
Soy la luz del sol sobre
el grano maduro.
Y soy la suave lluvia de otoño,
cuando te levantes
al silencio de la mañana.
Yo soy el viento levantador.
Que levanta a los pajaros
en vuelo circular.
Yo soy la estrella suave
que brilla por la noche.
No te pares a llorar ante mi tumba.
Yo no estoy aqui, yo no he muerto.

Aunque camine por cañadas oscuras, nada temo, porque Tu estaras conmigo;
Tu vara y Tu cayado me infundiran aliento.
