She moved to Phoenix Manor in 1994 where she lived until her death. Ruby loved to play dominoes, pinochle and yahtzee and had many friends who would come to play; she would call them and say “hey kid, come over and play.” She would always have cake, cookies or some goodies for them. For years she made floral arrangements that were anonymously delivered to people in nursing homes in Phoenix. Her final project was to design and have printed bookmarks listing the 12 Apostles. Two days before her death, she made arrangements to have them delivered to her favorite Catholic Churches. Her family and friends will miss Ruby greatly but know she is in a better place with the Lord.
