History

Abel Funeral Services was founded in 2002 by Michael Litchey, a dedicated Arizona Funeral Director. His passion was helping families in need. After just two short years of hard work, Michael passed away on Christmas day, 2004. His wife, Michelle, continued as manager until 2006 when Spencer and Meghan McBride purchased the firm. Spencer is the fourth generation of his family to serve others through funeral service. His commitment, compassion and experience bring stability to our firm. Meghan, an Arizona native, is dedicated to each and every family we serve. In the short time that Abel Funeral Services has been in the Phoenix community, we have grown by leaps and bounds each and every year.  As we serve more and more families, we continue to make improvements to our facility and give back to our community.
